I did everything except the cut/respline myself which cost me $400 to have a local machine shop do for me.

price breakdown for me so far

    -axle $100
-machine shop $440 (they stripped the bearings/retainers for me)
    -mustang SVO Rotors $100
    -loaded cadillac calipers/pads $220
    -4runner 4.3:1 w/E-locker complete 3rd member $400

so like $1260 for a bullet proof 5-600hp capable axle isnt too bad

    Cool, that's not too bad.
I'm kinda thinking about narrowing my supra rear to fit the mango better.

lol, forgot the most important character, you knew what meant though.

Cool, that should be plenty strong. Can you run Supra LSDs in it? The mk3 one is 8 inch and very strong though an odd design. So is that an electric locking truck diff you're going to use then?

Yeah I was planning on running a 96-98 4 runner e-locker diff but today realized I'd have to modify my housIng which I've decided against, picked up a 4.10:1 4pinion spider carrier instead, will weld this one up good for now. As far as I know I can run any 8" diff when the time comes but I'm going to wait and get it running good before I decide

Probably can't. There was a diff generation change between mk3 and mk4 Supras. Both use 8 inch diffs but you can't swap LSDs between the 2. Its a bolt pattern change on the ring gear I belive. LSDs are interchangable between mk4s, SC400s, LS400s etc, but the mk3 and mx83 cressida are different. Actually the mk4 NA and turbo LSDs aren't interchangable between each other either and are both 8 inch. Given your year range you probably can run mk3 LSDs but I'm sure theres a ton of aftermarket truck lockers available too. I belive the mk3 LSD doesn't use a sprung clutch pack, its just shimed for pressure. Weir makes some upgraded plates and such for it though.

Yes, the 8" MKIII LSD will fit into a 4 pinion carrier. This site shows a few installs.
    http://gearinstalls.com/

    On a side note...
With some work the Supra backing plate, parking brakes and rotor will also fit. A simple bracket can be made to hold the caliper and you have rear disc brakes from Toyota.
I found an early narrow 1 ton rear I'm going to try this with.

The MK3 Supra does have a sprung clutch pack. You can see in Weir's site the OEM spring on the right side of the page: http://www.weirperformance.com/maxgriplsdkits.html

Yep, thats the page I got my info from. Maybe I didn't word it quite right, from that site....

"We are pleased to offer three kits for the O.E.M. MkIII Supra LSD. This LSD is known for its lack of performance, this is for the most part caused by sloppy assembly at the factory. We have opened up many of these units and have not seen one yet that was worn out. Unfortunately these LSD units do not have clutch members or pressure rings to apply clamping force to the clutch plates. In order for these LSD units to function properly for performance applications they need to be correctly shimmed and the spring pressure increased. "

The bold part was what I was getting at.

rear axle is finally assembled and in the car, pics to come in the next couple days but just ordered these:

    17x8 0offset for the front
    17x9.5 +6offset for the rear

dirt cheap at like $130/wheel and will fit almost perfect, rubber will be 225/45-17 and 255/40-17 hankook ventus r-s3

So the suspension, brakes, and rear axle are done.

    Final Specs:

    Rear
    -89 2wd toyota pickup axle shortened 5" loaded with a welded 4.10:1 3rd member
    -Megan Racing 4Links for ae86
    -Megan Racing adjustable shocks
-stock cut coil springs for now (probably order some 5"x11" custom rate ones off ebay)
-T3 Lateral Rod and Traction brackets
    -Mustang SVO 11.3" rotors
    -Cadillac Deville calipers
    -Custom Caliper brackets
-Lokar universal e-brake cables (on order)
-MB Wheels "Old School" 17x9.5 +6
    -Hankook Ventus R-S3 255/40-17

    Front:
    -AE86 Spindles
    -Megan ae86 Coilovers
    -T3 Roll center adjusters
-Aerospace Components 11.75" 4Piston brake kit
-Aerospace Components 5Lug billet hub assembly
-AW11 manual rack and pinion with shortened ae86 outer tie-rods
-MB Wheels "old school" 17x8 0offset
    -Hankook Ventus 225/45-17 R-S3

I'll still have to mini-tub the front wheel wells for the 17x8's to clear perfectly but the rears should fit perfect without any modification.

Car should handle pretty decent, first local autoX is at the end of May so thats my goal to have it running
