    Project So And So

This widebody white rolla made its way into my shop yesterday....Unfortunately I only bought the shell, so......Out comes everything then new everything will go in.

    HERE we go...

1987 Red Corolla GTS painted white on the outside. The Plan is to paint the engine bay either white, grey or match the wheel color.
The new motor, which is presently in pieces:
-Small port with US forged GZE pistons
    -SC14 with 2.5" Charge system
    -BOV
-MS3X later to be replaced with Vi-pec i44
    -OBX header
    -Buddy club Catback.

Suspension are T3 4 corners of coil overs - for now.

Wheels are Some Work equip knock offs...15x8 0. Forget what kind they are.

That's about it... This car is for drifting. I must get it together for drifting on March 15th. Wish me luck!

u checked out stances or greddy coils?
as much as i dislike white for engine bay, it seems logical?
grey bay with colour matched wheels and valve coers could work. or keep the engine bay neutral with whites, greys and blacks

milky / gloss / grey engine bay looks really nice, i think Patrick seto had it in his red coupe and it looked a lot better than i expected it to.
fail for building a hatch, you suck

Yeah. I've looked into some other coilovers. Stances are cool. I haven't looked into Greddy though. I've been in or driven corollas with BC racing, PBM, T3 I think I like the PBM the best out of that bunch.
I think that it will have to be either white or light grey. Flake and pearl would be great with Grey, but I'm not really looking to spend a million dollars on the engine bay either.

I should check out his engine bay. I'm guessing it's on his facebook.... time to prowl!
Yeah... i'm not sorry. I like this car and am growing more attached to it everyday I work on it... which has been two days lol. That won't stop me from drifting it though
After selling my Coupe "The Ugly One" to Richard I realized that I shouldn't have and am building an almost identical car. I prefer coupes, but this hatch was the right price.

My plan is to go honda style: White car, light blue rims. Valve covers would prob go the same color. I'll do a quick rendering when I have a minute to figure out the colours.

Thanks to John, Richard and Andrew the much of the engine bay and interior has been stripped now. Even got the dash off without breaking the clock bezel.

pearls dont add anything to the cost? at least when i get paint i get them to just throw them in and we have fun with it.
im leaning on white, even though it can get dirty right quick. i just dont think the grey would work with the rest of the car. imo...its those blue wheels that really dont match the grey. imo.
ill paint whatever you'd like tho

Yeah. It looks cool, but I want a super clean minimalistic approach to the engine bay. I think that we've decided on doing it white with as durable a paint as possible.

RandyCorolla helped with the reassembly of the bottom end today: +10 dude. I still need a HG and head bolts, then I will finish putting her together.

So I changed my mind lol. Scrapped the smallport gze build. Here's the new engina setup:
    MOTARU:
-A blacktop 20V that spun 2 rod bearings on at AutoX. In case you're wondering, it was cylinder 1,2 that spun. 1 was the worst.
-Replaced crank, rods, pistons+etc, bearings with aw11 parts from my small port build... ie.. not being built now.
-Refurbed with new OE 20V parts: oil pump, Timing belt tensioner, bottom end service kit, toyota Head gasket
-Reused the head as is from the factory and installed 20V ARP head studs (Thanks 666)
    POWARU:
-SC 14 previa van super charger. Sc pulley replaced with that of a US sc12 (thanks RastaRacer)
    -OBX triY Header (thanks LesleyYip)
    -1nz COPs
-3SGTE side feed 440cc injectors (low impedance)
-ITB intake plenum to be designed by me and fabricated by BC works (and approved too, I hope!)
-Fuel Cell and Walboro Fuel Pump.... So far there is a big hole in the trunk.
    OTAKU:
-All engine bay wiring removed..... half of the interior wiring removed also....wiper wiring will be added back in
-8' Main Wire bundle of Screen printed TXL automotive Wires from DIYautotune.com
    -AEM - Infinity 8H ECU
-New OE connectors installed for 1NZ coils, GM temp sensors, AEM Map sensor
-New connectors in mail for Injectors, VVT, ISCV, TPS
-Fuse Box added inside car on Passenger speaker grill for all EFI circuits.
    -Optima Battery.

That's it for now. The plan is to get this together for the next Cap d Drift event.
