    Not just bolt holes, but also the ridge needs to be filled in. The spot welds are in a different spot on 86-87 GT-S quarter panels (outward facing, instead of inside the wheel well).

    It's quite a bit to fill, on top of just filling in the holes.

    Thanks Rokubes. Migs' info regarding the different year AE86s was very helpful in clarifying why the pictures from DiscoQuinn's post (#15) had no bolt holes in the rear quarter panels (which would mean those AE86s are NOT 1987 models).
