Do I need a whole new steering column?

So today I noticed the steering wheel on my gts was "wiggling" quite a bit and it was very concerning. Turns out the shaft & nut where the steering wheel is bolted to are stripped, preventing the steering wheel from being secured completely (F'ing stupid, I know) . Unfortunately it looks as if both the nut is stripped, as well as the shaft from the steering column.

Do I need to replace the entire column? Is the shaft all one piece from where the steering wheel bolts all the way to the intermediate shaft?

Does anyone have a spare column lying around?

My gts has manual steering but my understanding is that from the intermediate shaft up, it should be the same for both power steering and manual steering?

Edit: upon closer inspection it looks like it's just a looped PS rack

The intermediate shaft is removable from the column. Takes a bit of heat to convince it to come out though. I think I have a column laying around somewhere, but you'll need your ignition barrel.

i would gladly take it off your hands if you're willing to ship! just let me know how much you want for it.

i believe my column + intermediate shaft are are all original PS parts, currently.

I thought I had an actual manual rack but it's just a looped PS rack

either way, the column itself should be the same, shouldn't it? and should hook up to whatever intermediate shaft i currently have?
