    My RA64 coupe

I wasn't going to post much about my car and maybe i still won't, it seems that more and more these threads are being used as shopping lists for thieves....although ra64's aren't much of a target.

but here's a little of what i've been up to.

I picked up this bone stock celica a few months back and built coilovers in the "traditional" fashion and tossed some wheels on it. all the work currently is going into suspension and the geometry. it's still an auto and open diff 22re grandma driveline for now.

Do you want one? I know where there's a semi-okay gold one sitting.

Thanks guys, I was actually looking for a corolla when I bought this but the e8's were too $$$ and the e7's were too rusty. I saw this one in my hood and thought I'd drop a note on it, turned out the guy was moving to Toronto and he didn't want to watch it rust away but he also didn't want to flog it on Craigslist to someone who wasn't going to love it right.

    Worked out well for me

I've been endlessly cleaning this thing for AJC coming this sunday...but the sad part is I can barely tell the difference. Silly gold paint hides the dirt and the clean.

This first pic shows the only spot where I have to drill and add a bracket (this is looking straight up to the left of the brake pedal bracket). The 2 mount spots in the firewall are there but the upper part of the pedal mounts to the cowl with a bracket and 2 studs that are missing on the auto cars. You have to bend the upper clutch bracket to make it parallel to the cowl and drill through the cowl and drop through 2 bolts through (use seam sealer on these) and use 3 nuts per bolt to pinch at the cowl and the bracket. Or you can use 2 hollow stainless tubes and spacers, about 1.25-1.5″ long. You may want to use large washers or make a flat plate to reinforce this cowl area.

the holes will be under the grate in the cowl, to the right under where the wiper rod is.

I love that the cut outs are already there

Very nice. Gonna cut the brake pedal down? Swap with a manual brake pedal?
