Thanks to everyone for coming out and Joe for organizing. It was nice to see everyone and put faces to names. I'm downloading and stitching pics right now, should have them up shortly. :)

*It looked like a Toyota AE86 dealership!

Joe is forgiven...However I must hurt him for not bringing me to Depeche Mode. *One of my favorite bands, and the only "popular band" that I have seen live. Other than local talents.*

w00t for the ae92 representing ^_^

And that orange ae86 looks REALLY familiar.... Like extremely familiar, as in "Chris tried to sell it to me a year ago" familiar. Was that Meyer's old car, or am I just out of it?

Migs should be home by now, probably in a very deep sleep. He left my place yesterday around 1pm after we topped up his leaky diff (pinion seal, and probably bearing, is toast due to the most toasted drive shaft centerbearing ever), installed jdm rear mud flaps, somehow managed to squeeze 4 shiny Rikens into his hatch, and bubble wrapped the front end of his car!

Remember.. BC has the best survival rate for AE86s unlike Ontario were they all seem to die a cancerous death.. :(

Migs
11-18-2005, 08:03 PM
yeah we finally pulled into Calgary around 12am. There were a few hairy areas on the highway, mostly the stretch around the BC/AB border with lots of snow/sleet and fog, but otherwise it all went well.

Seamus, thank you again for your help! I made good use of the diff fluid, masking tape, and that double-sided tape you let me have ;)

Paul I do already have rock chips, but they all came from the first 30 minutes of driving the car on the way out of Calgary when we were headed to Las Vegas. The lower portion of my doors are going to be repainted, this time with rockerguard underneath. Otherwise, the car still seems to be chip free! yay!

Whitewulke thats not the same orange corolla your thinking of, its still lives in Red Deer. I own it now and its got the red top in it now and still turbo charged. it should be on the road this winter, a friend on mine is going to be driving it until spring.

Cool... Glad to see someone's fixing 'er up again :) Was going to ask if by orange coupe you mean Meyer's car. I really wish insurance wasn't so expensive >.<

I just joined DK, seen many MANY great looking (and sounding) 86's around vancouver, a great change from Toronto. Would like to see them in person. Hope there is another meet soon.
