Thanks 86tuning for helping me provide after service on the parts. Had I met you guys almost a decade ago, I would have saved bundles and bundles of money. All I know is that when I re-did my entire rear axel plus LSD, I did at IWE costed me 1000.00 bucks, plus parts parts.

86tuning's does a good service to the Vancouver DK chapter. Let alone how many handful of DK members outside of BC have made their trek just for 86Tuning.

Thumbs up for you guys!

Hypothetical....

I bring you a brand new Tomei diff and New drain plug washers, and new side bearing etc, and a can of Tomei diff oil to your shop. Also included is a very low mile good shape diff case that should have a great pattern (IRS, so it's not the whole axle thank god) that has a oem diff in it right now. The 2 boxes are presented and you make all sorts of diff magic happen and the old diff ends up in a box, and the new one ends up in the case.

Cost?

If only you guys weren't so far :ashamed: . I think 86tuning needs to go on a cross-country tour, or atleast to the prairies.

Yeah, that stuff works good and is readily available, and affordable. It's the only stuff I use for LSDs, unless you supply your own Kaaz or Cusco or Tomei oil...

what is the difference between RS and MZ

and kaaz super lsd?

Brian
06-20-2006, 01:52 PM
MZ is less expensive than the RS. The MZ uses a diaphragm type spring and the RS uses coil springs for preload.

If you're on a budget, and want an LSD with very firm lockup, the MZ is for you. If you're a baller, then RS is an extra $200.

The Kaaz is kaaz. Well built, smooth lockup, 2-way LSD. Firmer lockup than TRD.

I got bearings in stock again. PM me for a contact #

Brian

Yes we can do that, with new diff side bearings and stuff, but you'll have to supply the gear oil. If you send the diff with an OE rebuild kit, I'll rebuild it too.

PM sent.
