This was last week September 4-6

I myself did not take photos, so this thread is dedicated to everyone who took photos on their break, instead of sleeping in the grassy knoll by Credit Union Centre, Saskatoon, or fix the car with zipties, like I did.

Too bad he peaced out after Saturday. He was obviously my friendly target :) For Sunday I beat the guy who beat him the first day, so not sure if I could have closed the gap. So anywho. How's Steve doing?

Coned on every run the first day, but still led the entire DMod field by a great margin.

Matt! (http://www.pbase.com/locotoy/image/117090147) Usually an AWD DSM driver. This weekend he codrove the SW11 MR2. By weekend's end, he was only 6 thousandths (.006) less fast than a very sexy and very hot period correct (save for tires) 240Z.

COlin! (http://www.pbase.com/locotoy/image/117051749) That guy in the very sexy and very hot period correct (save for tires) 240Z.

Ian's old MR2!!! (http://www.pbase.com/locotoy/image/117244132)
Still has blue-cloud producing Camry motor. The guys who bought it are very talented and posted times that shamed many modified cars... including me. :(

Last minute camber gamble worked. Though, overall, I drove poorly and placed 6th among 10 DModified(ASN) Competitors. Lucky though that for the Super Slalom WCMA/SCCA classing, I was first in class! Basically, the SCCA classing is a lot more divided that I ended up being in a class with a Shelby Cobra Replica and a VW Dune Buggy. Now, you might wonder, "What the hell do you have in common with a Cobra and a Dune Buggy?" I could have classed myself as a Rallycar and gone FPrepared, but no one was there. So I thought, I'd feel stupid if I win default. I mean locally, I class myself FP just to see how I do Pax wise (and the answer is poorly). But in a big event like this? Default sucks. So, I called the car a Mirage with a 4G63T and AWD conversion done. I thought I was going to get slayed by the Cobra because in the local Saskatoon events he usually takes fastest time. I got lucky that he overdrove the car and basically did the whole course sideways.

Dennis!! Designed the world class course and drove very well! Posted very awesome time in a vintage car. Shamed a lot of other drivers in a lot more expensive and powerful machinery.

Yah! Steve told us. Wheel bearings giving out suck. That's what I was most worried about on the way there and back. There's already a story like that with some gentleman named Bill in a Merkur. A few years ago his wheelbearing started acting up in Kindersley on the way to Saskatoon, leaving him stranded. His car, like mine is rare so he had to abort the trip and just flatbed the thing back to Calgary. In fact, he's learned his lesson that this year, he just trailered the thing.
