This is the most recent picture of it, rolled edge, aerocatch pins, the works. Made by the now defunct CF company that based out in Surrey BC. This is a piece of history, you probably won't be able to find another CF hood made with the loving care and labour of a Vancouverite elsewhere.

The bad: the hood was involved in a flip-open accident before and the frame is delaminating from the skin. When operating the car at high speed (probably noticeable from outside starting at like 140km/h) the hood skin can be visibly seen lifting off between the headlight assemblies. However the pins are holding the hood down so there's no reason to believe that the whole hood will flip open again. The frame is damaged below and the skin is damaged at the hinge so it looks good from far but far from show quality. The lack of bottomside support means that the hood is slightly bent upwards. Still has factory hood latch.
Here is what it looks like when you hit 140km/h. I brought it all the way to 217km/h later no problems.

Reason for selling: I want a DV hood now. Price is firm. Located in 604. If I can't find a buyer I will drill through the baby smooth hood surface and stitch the whole thing together with zip ties and ghetto drill some hood louvers on it instead. I will need to borrow your metal hood between when you take it off me and August 22nd if you are to buy it from me before Aug 22nd.

Offer valid until August 22nd when I will park the car and start drilling.

No dibs. If you want to take it beyond August 22nd I will need to take a deposit from you.

DISCLAIMER: If you buy this hood and it suddenly flips open on you I take no responsibility. The item is sold AS-IS. Any additional repairs you might require is your own responsibility.

Just the aerocatch setup is over $60 on ebay.
