    New winter beater

Well gang, finally time for me to post up my new winter ride. It's a "borrowed" car, so I don't own it, but we spent lots of time sorting and modifying this beast.

    Specs: very fast
Mods: lots, suspension, LSD, engine, etc.
Tires: Not the ones pictured. 4 snowys on factory mags.

I had to, as my winter shell (your old car) is in for a total makeover, and will morph into something far greater than a winter beater.

In the meantime, what the heck am I gonna drive?

....and on the same topic, where are the pix of your new car?

LOL yeah.. they talk about their rainy winters like they compare to the prairies or Ontario 10ft of snow.

All the cars in the household have been lowered. Some have been lowered excessively. I'll be running stock rims with snowys, they'll be fine on the 86. Same with the jetta, we're running skinny snows 185/60-14 and they're awesome. Just no high-G manoeuvers with winter treads.

As for snow, the front bumper has a lip for a reason

I'm still trying to get used to the NVH that comes with TRD mounts. Awesome shifting action, and really good throttle response...

Just gotta fix a couple water leaks into the hatch area

That's a pretty sexy winter beater. I think it's time to minus some camber to even out thoughs tires a little .

No 'murican iron. If it's FWD it will either be Toyota or VW. And m/t at that. Although the Turtle (85 tercel a/t) was sure a fun car...

update: still fixin up the water leaks in the hatch :o
