    ahhhhhhhh, my CF parts arrived.

i ordered my seibon doors and hatch about 1.5 weeks ago. i went and picked them up at revspot in richmond, i ordered them from Joshua at fullblown motorsports. great guy to deal with excelent turnaround , and the parts are stunning.

seibon does some amazing work with CF. i put the hatch on the other night and it fits awsome just like oem, the window fit perfectly and so did all the hardeware. it comes with a shaved wiper and rear key hole for a super clean look.

i havent tried on the doors yet but i am sure from what i see the fittment will be excelent.

here are a pic of the doors.

i am going to use lexan side windows with slider openings, i will be flush mounting them to the door, it should look sweet and a little oldschool.

i must say thank you to SuprltvCnspircy for the hook ups needed for my order to go through.

    cheers.

yeah +1 on the seibon stuff, i just installed their hood and fitment is great

HOWEVER, due to the fact that the part is 1-piece construction, many holes on the hood skeleton aren't there no more, most aren't needed anyway..........but the 2 "hooks" beside the hood hinges, they originally go through the hood skeleton, so on the seibon you have to open up some holes. You can see all the outlines from the original mould so its much easier.

If they made their doors/hatch the same way they made their hood you might have to look into that as well

    Congrats on the purchase though

Personally I think its kind of stupid how CF can be used for parts like this... But kick ass on the weight savings!!!! (on the car and your wallet)

How are they constructed? exactly like a metal door but not with metal?

the fit and finish on those CF pieces look really good. I'm curious about the weight savings too.

I wonder if anyone is making a CF trunk lid for the coupe?

    Looks awesome Adam!

Somebody does, because the hasselgren ae86 drift car had one. Hopefully it wasn't a one-off.

Each factory door weighs 67lbs with no interior panels, don't remember to exact weight of the cf ones-around 15lbs?:dunno:

My kevlar ones are just to be outer skins with lexan for windows and I project 8 to 10 lbs total, start building finally in the next week.

Adam, those are very pretty-I wouldn't paint them at all!
