    gauge cluster (speedo)

hey guys, since i have had my 20V in, my speedometer has not worked, i was informed that it was mechanical sensor, and the tranny was elctrical...? wondering if it was still compatible...any ways...a GTS cluster is now available to me, i was just wondering if that cluster would work, if the cables were the same..i dont know exactly how it works, if anyone can help me out that would be great THANKS

I'm assuming your using the tranny from the 20v? if its electrical I cant see it working with the GT-S cluster since it is mechanical as well. I can't remember how some guys have gotten around this issue either.

Depends how the speed sensor is setup. I don't know how it is on those cars, but on some cars the electrical speedo sensor mounts where the speedo cable would normally mount. As such you can hook up a mechanical speedo to it. Not sure what the 20V tranny is like though.

I was cruising around and found this.
Pretty much everything you needed to know.

"Adapt Toyota AE101 electronic speedo drive to AE86 mechanical drive"

    Hopefully that helps you out.
