The grey was cheap chinese junk. Was impossible to work with and not worth the savings. The 3m cost a fortune but was way better to work with. The front bumper was next to impossible to do. Im new and still learning but I can't figure out a way to do it in one piece. The curves are just to complex. I did it in chunks.

Nope. 16g. Bout the same size as a 2860rs. I have the same turbo as you iirc.

NO way man, it actually is coming out phenomenally well. I made a few mistakes here and there. But from 5 feet you can't seem them. Each panel is getting better as I go. The bummer is t that if you have to lift a bit of the sheet thats really been layed down well it will pull 1 part primer with it and sorta put an ugly texture under it. But really its coming out well. Paint is way less work, but this is the only thing I could do at my own speed at home.

SO the "catch can" just drains back into the head when you shut the car off I suppose? Makes sense.

Figured I would add my 2 cents.

Looks fantastic. Had a few trouble spots as it was my first time. If I was to do a second car it would turn out pretty perfect. Doesnt seem to show any sanding marks over 400. You can do it slowly over time in your house. I have no bubbles at all, very few wrinkles, and when I say wrinkles I mean they are like 3mm long and half a mm wide and really can't be seen unless you are 2" away from paint. The few spots where the vinyl seems to be lifting are the really hard 90 degree corners on bumpers and creases. I belive this is because in those spots it wasn't 100% clean. I dont have great paint, its mostly over primer so some spots lifted that primer.

I would:

Hit it with 2 part primer so you have a strong clean surface.
ONLY buy high end vinyl. I used 3m, hes its expensive as **** but honestly I tried cheap stuff and its a nightmare to use. The 3m was dreamy. Buy a roll of knifeless tape, a new heatgun and some masking tape. If you don't mind some seams you can do it pretty cheap. This was my first time and honestly, I didn't ruin one panel. Start with fenders they are easiest.

Also buy the 3m pen thing to promote adhesion in the crease parts of the jdm bumpers. No matter what I did it wouldnt lay down.

Dont start with mirrors first, you'll hate your life and quit.

I got my tools and my wrap from avs vinyl, good price and excellent service.

The top is gloss black 3m, the bottom is matte. Please dont do matte blue ffs as I just did.
