I made my drivers seat lower.
No more bolt the seat to seat bracket, bolt seat bracket to car.
And all the extra weight of brackets.
And layers of metal making the seat high.
Now the seat will bolt directly to the car.

And those weak little tabs that passed for seat mounts are gone.

Now, I must admit, it is a real pain to bolt the seat in now. I even had to make a notch in the structure by the shifter just so I could get the bolt in.
But it's a full inch lower, and 10 pounds of metal seat bracket is in the recycle pile.
I'm in the middle of the passenger side now, I'm going to put it as low as I can, just cause.

In my spec miata my alu seat was bolted through the bottom directly to the floor. It was nice. My corolla is going to need customizations.

Ya stupid corolla mountain range floors are annoying.
Flat floors would make seat mounting so much easier.

I might have to copy you with the seats idea. I sit so high in my car that my head touches the roof, and I'm only 5'8"

Jordan if ur talking about your te27, keep in mind with the steering box has a fixed steering shaft out of the box so no steering wheel adjustment. Drop the seat much and it gets awkward with the wheel up so high.

I hammered the floor down so much in the carbon coupe to get the seats as low as possible, the floor split apart and I had to build new floor structure. I've always mounted my seats as low as possible and with a lot of lean back. I would like to say it's for better weight distribution, but more importantly, I wanted the head room, especially with a helmet on.

I thought about that too Corey, but with where the seat currently is, my knees are on the steering wheel at all times. I think I just need different seats that don't sit as high as these ones, and ones that can slide back farther. I think the seats I have right now are from an integra or something.

Seats are so hard to get mounted at an acceptable hight.
With my helmet on I still have a full 4 of more inches to the roof.
Trevor, you have excellent wieght distribution. So much lean back!
I like to sit pretty upright, but low

Along time ago I read an interview with Richard Burns (WRC champion?) he was all upset after testing the new Peugeot 206 and hating Gronholmns driving position. "I like to sit in the car, not on top of it!"

I have been working on the mango a lot, just nothing exciting, bondo, wiring, doors back on, moving forward with boring stuff.should be running soon. And drifting shortly after.

Anyone have a cheap suitable trailer for cheap?

Pauls car weighs about 7000lbs so those axles are perfect lol

Paul and I have dreams of superlight single axle trailers. It's my project for next winter.

Paul's trailer should just be an axle with lights and a plate on it that bolts into his rear tube work, and a hitch that bolts into the front.

My old car trailer was a gutted camper. Basically 2 boards over a single axle with vintage cracked rubber and no brakes. Worked like a charm! I think I've thrown a pic up before, I would tow it with my '82 Toyota 4x4.
