It was like -6 degrees out yesterday. Not too cold for working outside.

Haha yes Andrew, I'm always interested.
But I may be shot if I bring home another corolla.
Gary is the OG mango guy! hook him up!

Oh and Paul, I did at one piont have celica gts arms in the mango.
They are long and make for super slow steering responce.
The arms I have in there now are shorter than corolla gts arms.
The main reason to make the custom ones was the change the offset in the tierod end relative to the balljoint pivot point, to reduce ackerman.

Sorry, I meant control arms. I know you have the custom steering arms in there now.

    Thank you Mr Leboe.

Its cold out again, I got my 45's all sorted out put together with some new jets and air corectors, ect.
They look sweet, you can definitly see the difference between the girlyman 40's and the manlyman 45's haha.

    Sweet!

I port matched my intake manifold too, just smoothed it out for now.

I never realy looked at my head to closely but Brian(oldrollas) kept saying that I should get dual valve springs. So I asked my favorite 2tc guru Chris(sunray) and he told me what to get. I ordered them, now I was going to change them today, and I notice that my head has some serious looking springs in it already. Double checked my spare head in the garage, and I definitly have some aftermarket springs in there already.

    Good head, am springs?

stock head on floor in garage

    close up of am springs

    close up of stock springs

    The springs I got

Now I dont know if I should just leave the old springs in there, or change them for these new ones.
The new springs, in a 3t you run just the single spring, ditch the inside one and yo are good to 8000rpm, I have had the old engine to at least 8000rpm before and no problems so I'm thinking I will stick with them.

I have dropped off my 3t block at the machine shop, get it bored out and the pistons put on the rods for me cause I dont have a press. Also ordered a gasket set, bearings, and cometic hg, just have to wait for it all to arrive. weeee!

Paul those ones that were in your head already will be no good for your new cam. The chevy style dampener will bind badly with the lift but the outers and inners might be okay. Just run the bugpacks, you will be happy. Remember that excessive seat pressure is bad too. In fact, I suspect those ones with the dampeners were what caused the lobes to fail.

Or you could have said "sorry, my kidnap victims keep kicking my elbow, it made me drop my crack pipe and swerve"

    The Orange! haha awsome
    the crazy banana
    the wild watermelon

On a more serious note, Thanks Chris, thats what I was looking for.
    Time to switcheroo!
They are super stiff, I tried briefly to compress one and man dey schtiff.
Its gona suck driving the mango to Etown for practice's I will proably take the 86 more often.
The gearing will suck on the highway.

on an other note the 86 is gona be sweet, I keep buying things or it.
I spend way too much on Corolla's

I got my block back from the shop, now I wait for bearings and gaskets.
Its all coming together, and adding up!
    Visa likes me, a LOT!
I like this picture, some may remember it. Paul Booze and Rob Houck had just dynoed my car at 70hp, at round 3 Dsport. It may be slow but its got angle.

I feel like sharing some pictures

I belive this is very early in 2008, new tires, passenger seat is on the pile of tires kinda seen on the left

This is after round 3, and the road couse "team event" that didnt realy happen, but it sure was fun. Much abuse on that day, broken lip, grass all stuffed in around the lip, shreded tires, sun burn.
