    looking good.
Did you check the resistance from the battery to the starter? Maybe it's getting choked out through a bad connection?

I see you basically already said you are going to check that. derp

Batter problem was mostly from the old tiny battery being dead
New batt solved it, but I did go through and clean and grease all the terminals and check the kill switches.

Haven't been doing much other than drifting this thing in portland once a month. The car has been down there since May. So I never get to work on it. Save for one day a month.
New ideas are stacking up, and some mods are coming, and body work! We've been driving really aggressively, rubbing and bumping lots, I'll be bringng it to calgary after Aug 4 to freshen it up.

    Not smashing into each other.
Just bumping into each other, and rubbing against one another.
    Like dirty dancing.
Except when Cody plows into me from behind and dents my quarter panel that I just fixed.

    My engine is sad
It cries tears of oil, they come out the vent of the catch can
    Lots of oily tears
3-4 litres in a day of drifting
Made a nice mess of my engine bay and under the car.
    Time for a new engine.
Not sure why this one went bad, other than the obvious abuse I give it.
Thinking about the crank vent, and it just being run to.atmosphere? Time to.get old school hot rod on the pcv system and put in an exhaust venturi

You need a proper pcv system. It's not even a discussion!

Engines are way happier with them.

^ITBs make it...impossible? Or just really messy.

Hook the venturi to a vac gauge and see if it's even doing anything when you get to that point.

Fancy AN fitting vac pumps aren't crazy expensive either. Few used kickin around on ebay, old circle car stuff. While you're at it just drysump it lol.

I have it on my Itbs..... You can also do slip cuts in exhaust or run a vacuum pump.

I am guessing something like pcv -> catch can and then catch can to -> vacuum distribution manifold?

Will the vacuum manifold pull enough volume to vent the crank?
Like 1/8" vac line hooked into the catch can will move enough air to keep the crank in vacuum?

I want to try the exhaust pipe Venturi, it seems neat. I've seen some video of it when I was thinking about it before, they can pull good vacuum, and with an open exhaust system with little back pressure should work well.

I've got some 3/8" ss tubing and a bender, due to space constraints I'm going to end up with the pcv system merging with the exhaust about the end of the transmission.
Not ideal for velocity and heat energy to act as a draw, but the exhaust is ceramic coated and heat tape wrapped back to that point already.
Also I only have one "muffler" so hopefully not much back pressure.
Can't really check any of it till my new engine arrives but I'll be able to tab most of it up.

yeah just make sure the PCV meets the exhaust at around a 25-45degree angle and the flow of exhaust will create a sufficient suction effect

    Just saw this part! Wow!

But it's not burning oil? I take it you have done a compression test?
