i think steve just want to make the JCCS run in less than twelve parsecs.

so where are you going to mount the single turbo?
Will be in the stock muffler location :-) the pump is a high temp turbo specific oil scavenging pump, because the turbo will be mounted so low it can't gravity feed back to the oil pan

should be boosting within the month (possibly, not sure if i want to risk an un-proven turbo setup for the trip to vancouver) ECU changes not sure when but definately will be. Trying to plan/design eveything so that it can be removed/bypassed and run naturally aspirated within an hour on the side of the road kind of deal just in case.

I would have liked to take the time to have a back plan like this as well.

Yeah the tough part is going to be the engine management side of it, I'm going to be running a megasquirt when I turn up the boost so I'll have to pack along the ecu, simplified harness, injectors and maf. Not exactly an hours work but still doable on the side of the road. Megasquirt will be driving the stock dual coil/dizzy setup so we'll see how that all turns out

You could do a plug and play harness for your megasquirt. That way changing from the ms to the toy ecu is a couple seconds affair.

Yeah except that means finding another ecu to steal the connectors from, the guys at diyautotune don't carry the 26-16-22-26 connector I need so it'll be the long way for me

So.... you're going to make too much horsepower to safely drive the car on the street, and then part the car out just like you did with the SR car...

    countdown to part out thread.

difference between sr corolla and this one was; on the SR car EVERYTHING was brutal, steering was stupid heavy, suspension was stupid stiff, wasnt so much a power band as it was a light switch lol This car is light and nimble, has great steering input, suspension is well sorted out and makes great torque off boost which will is THE deciding factor on how daily driveable a turbo engine is. If i want to putter around and just cruise it will have plenty of torque to carry the car along at low rpm
