A lot has happened but it hardly seems that way. I seems to take forever to accomplish the simplest things because I refuse to cut corners and with that usually comes empty bank accounts and slow progress. I've also been putting in some time towards the LX450. I had to build a roof rack for my RTT and I installed a winch in the bumper so I can party.

Let's see here, I'll probably just ramble a bit. The car was supposed to run for this weekend but i had another clutch issue which means I won't be able to start wiring until tomorrow. Little things take time, it took two full evenings to install both headers for the final time and weld on the 02 bungs.

I wasn't completely comfortable using the JK40C internal slave so I picked up a QuarterMaster QMI concentric slave. I need a sleeve for it to slide on so I had to also source a CD009 front cover. I should've just found a CD009 at this point. Whatever.

After a lot of removal/installation attempts and as much grinding as possible I got close enough to the specs Quarter Master asks for.

    **** this setup is big.

I'm having a tough time getting the clutch to work properly, spent a few days on the phone with QuarterMaster last week. I even upgraded to a Wilwwod 3/4 master because the ae86 5/8 master wouldn't even disengage the clutch. At this current point this is as far as I can get the clutch to disengage, is it normal?

    Toyota 1uzfe 370z 6 speed transmission.
    Quartermaster 8.5 twin disc.
    Quartermaster QMI slave.
    Wilwood 3/4 master.

Pedal very stiff, and as far as it will go (Pressure plate feels full stroke at this point)

I think I figured the clutch out. What I'm experiencing sounds normal for a twin disc apparently. I loaded the car up with a rachet strap in gear and within half the pedal travel it disengaged and the car rolled. The car will roll back on a flat driveway with it in gear and the pedal at the floor it's just difficult to turn by hand.

Anyways, I figured out my intake (twice), filled with coolant, primed my fuel system. I also finished my interior but I'll have to wait for the car to get out of the garage to take pictures of it because my phone camera is a POS.

Intake setup 1. After getting it together I decided I immedietly hated it and ripped it all off:

Intake setup 2. Removed the silencer tube from the intake to clear my fuel pressure regululator and built an adapter to go from the MAF into the fender:

    Fuel system and master cylinders:

Is that a fuel pump mounted on the firewall? Or just a huge filter?

    That's a fuel filter.

The car runs, like a top actually. I had an issue with injectors 1/7 being open all the time and I hydrolocked the engine twice while cranking. Once I sorted that out everything has been good.

It's very torquey. Like 3rd gear left turn break my 225/50 r888's torquey.

I should be in Victoria with it in August after Formula D in Seattle. Not sure if I'll be spending much time in Vancouver.

My phone takes horrible photos, I apologize. Here's how the tunnel turned out. My original carpet is very dirty, it should match quite well when I get around to vacuuming it instead of driving; but that difficult.

    Always needed gas station shots:

Because I no longer have a spot for my radio I had to get creative so that I could have a radio, without having a radio. I bought a variable transmitter (for volume control) and a 4-channel amplifier. I bridged the amp to run all four speakers and a small sub and installed it under the passenger seat. Now all i have is an auxilary cord for my phone/iPod and volume knob on the dash.

Nice stereo setup! I had something similar in my Corolla. I kinda like it TBH. Sounded decent and no chance of getting the head unit stolen... because there isn't one... haha

Looks good Spence, did you get your headlight issue sorted out? or were you going to swing by and snag that part off me?

The brontosaurus lives on! I too was thinking of a similar stereo solution - youve inspired me to commit to it now.

    Keep up the good work.

Damn! I just spent too much on a radio that isn't really going to get stations! I do love the look of this car! How did you remove the side moulding without leaving all the glue and padding under it?

    Oops..

Weir 4340 Chromoly axles and a 3.73 gearset versus the 4.10 I was running before. This is the lowest ratio I could find before my trip to Seattle so it'll have to do.

MA47 Supra. I'm pretty sure the SR20 did the damage and the 1UZ did them in. I lit the tires up in the rain and it snapped.

    Four reasons:

    1.)360whp engine (400hp crank??)
    2.)4500rpm clutch drops
    3.)225 r888 R-compounds
4.)My rear wheel/tire combo is 50lbs EACH! Lol.

It's probably the best option for anyone looking to upgrade from the gts rear which blows up after 175hp. These things are beefy enough to hold up 300hp all day and practically bolt right in. With these axles I'm confident I could put down 450whp.

Ill probably go 8.8 next, that or a hybrid Land Cruiser 9.5'' with shorty axles but it's gonna get expensive either way.

Just read this entire build thread. Awesome.....i love the way your 86 looks. Did you ever get to dyno your car when you had the turbo bluetop? If not.......estimates?
