Hey, those actually look in decent shape. I know what you mean about the 4Runner...any passing requires serious planning.

I got the dodge running. It turns out that the problem was a faulty clutch-start cancel switch, and the injectors and pump needed priming. So really the only things it need are a steering shaft-to-box u-joint and a throw out bearing. Everything else is in good shape!

$1200 is a steal! Very cool work truck! Please keep us posted on your progress with it!

Liam, your dakota looks good with the new paint and black wheels!

The 4runner pics make me want one.

I ended up buying a suburban for towing my celica/MR2 to out of town race events. I like being able to keep all of my race tires/wheels/tools/etc locked up inside of the truck where they won't get stolen. I can also sleep in the back if I need to. Sleeping in a sparco race seat in my miata in a parking lot in Vernon BC and again in Abbottsford was no fun.
Unfortunately it is only a 2wd 1500, but the price was right for its condition, so I jumped on it.
    Here is a pic:

I bought all new parts to convert the front end to GMC but my garage burned down the day after I put all of the parts in the garage. Doh!

I have some other minor mods that I'd like to do to it. I hope to lower it 3 or 4 inches, but I also have 31x10.5x15 tires for it to help fuel econ while towing in D. The running boards will hopefully be replaced with nerf bars, and I'd like to get some different wheels for it. Aside from that, the burb is just a tow truck for my cars, and a winter vehicle, so I won't spend too much time/money on it.

My good 'ol trusty '89 GMC 4X4, and single axle car trailer. I've had these for over 10 years, and they took me and my race cars 1000s of miles, to different race tracks, every weekend, every summer, for 8 years.

What material is the trailer made from? Any suspension in it?
I used to have a single axle car trailer that I ended up trading to Steve G for an engine ~6 years ago. I miss having a car trailer, and now that I have the suburban to tow with, I need another car trailer.

It's all steel construction with no suspension. It has surge brakes, and ratcheting style hitch so different sized balls can be used. It's the perfect size, custom made for my first race car. I could cruise all day at 140 km/h towing it with the race car on it and hardly even notice it behind me. If I had to build another, it would be the same size, except made of aluminum, and tilt bed. I've lent it out before and was extremely disappointed when I finally retrieved it...both tail lights were gone, the decking was wrecked, and the ramps were bowed like they were trying to load forklifts onto the thing. I would consider taking a chance on lending to you though Narfy.
