It's slow because your running what looks to be a 33x14.50 swamper, probably on stock gearing.

they call em 3.slow for a reason. is it auto? it would be double slow like mine then but i don't use mine for stoplight dragging. maybe in 4 low with the hubs unlocked... check your door code and figure whats in your diffs. If its a 5 speed you'll be able to grab 4.88's out of an auto truck to maybe help alittle.

the other day, i saw a 3rd gen 4runner with a 4.7 in it... hot damn... took lots of work, but the guy made it work... that'd be a sweet swap for my 4runner, if the engine ever dies... *knocks on wood*

Finished product, what it looked like before I sold it.

I did some offroading with my dad, but never got any action shots unfortunately. I miss my jeep.

We went wheeling this weekend, I figured some of you may enjoy these pictures. I've also got video of me passing through a rut hitting 42 degrees, but the video has some serious redneck trucker language. If interested search "hex hits a rut" on YouTube, there should be a part 1 and 2. I thought I popped a u-joint in the video, ended up being a t-case issue. Ended up walking the rest of it, lockers ftw.

Overall it was a good day, ended up breaking two antennas, a passenger side mirror, bent a rear rim, knocked the truck out of alignment, broke a fog lamp, took on water, and a whole lot of dents and scratches. Mostly little stuff really, but a daily record for sure.

I got stuck once though...first time taking on water. I didn't realize how deep I was till I was stuck and got out to look.

^ C'mon, post it up anyway...if people are posting pics of Dodges and Jeeps, how bad can yours be??

And Spencer, nice trail pics. I'll be stuffing 35's on the Dodge next week and rebuilding the front driveshaft, then get some action pics.

Shancerlelby- Mine is a BJ60. All Canadian spec BJ's were 12v, and all Canadian spec HJ's were 24v. My old HJ was a pain in the ass, it had a 20amp converter running the radio and cigarette lighter, and my fogs/roof lamps never got hooked up before I sold it. If I were to hook them up, I was told to just ran them off the first battery that remained 12v. I would have needed to be careful though, because anything running off that battery will drain it. That's why I love the BJ's, because not only can I run HID's, all my fog lights, an onboard air compressor, and use an aftermarket radio, but I can also buy bulbs for $2 at CT, and not special order from Toyota for $13 each.

Bcae92- Leveling kit and 35''s. That was my original idea, it gives you more than enough height without getting stupid. They suck offroad though, too heavy and long. The only reason I sold mine was because I wanted another Cruiser to wheel on weekends, and get me in the bush camping.

This one's been lifted a little, I think. The only reason I went 35 is because my buddy who I traded with has 6 brand new ones and won't be using them on his dually. I'm used to driving a crew-cab off road, so the size of the truck isn't too big of a deal, even with a camper on it. I picked up an older Bigfoot 9.5 footer this summer, the only problem is that I'll need to narrow the back end to fit the narrower box

I also wheel in quad trails, and even on the more open stuff, I was always worried about getting stuck. When you're wheeling with a bunch of little XJ's and Toyota pickups, getting a stuck 8000lbs full size truck can be tough to get out.

    Warn M15000. Buy one.

Lol yeah, a winch is in the works. I left the Warn 9Ki on the old truck as it had a LOT of trail use. I absolutely loathe the gaudy massive bumpers guys put on the newer trucks (like mine), so I'll probably end up making one that fits as close to the grill as possible.
