why liam should build a 13:1 carbed 4ag

First off if anyone has other motor swaps or engine build ideas send liam a pm. DO NOT POST IT IN THIS THREAD. we dont need this thing littered with swap ideas. this is a 4ag w/ carbs thread

so if anyone has pics or vids of a carbed 4ag post them up. im tired of sending liam 4 page pm's.

Haha i tell you ONE little idea i have in my head and BAM i got my own thread.
I was going to go for most bang for your buck, but everyone does that and it gets old fast.
Ive always loved the sound of four throttle bodies barking every time you touch the throttle, but dont really want to do a blacktop swap. Its just the look of a clean engine bay with almost zero wiring gets me all excited. That an carbs are badass haha. Hopefully i can get my crap together enough to sort out something, maybe not this winter, but definitely by the end of next year.
Thanks for the poke ben the more and more i think about it the more likely i am to actually do it haha.

    Do it.
    Carbs vs ITBs.
-They will both make the same power up top, but the carbs will probably drive like crap down low if you're going for top end power. This is why half the n2 guys still run crabs, same power output up top for cheaper.
-Jets and tuning is finikey with carbs, but efi management is expensive.
    -They both sound awesome.

Houck had a carbed engine and it was a blast!
Get something about 38-40mm and go for it.

13:1 is probably a wee bit too high for 94 octane, and E85 isn't locally available. Aim for 12:1 and you'll still be at the ragged edge for pump gas.

That car in the vid seems kind of slow. Go ahead, hate me.

Dug is officially killin it, im glad im not the only one whos doing this.
I wasnt going to run 13:1 thats friggin crazy, but after talking to GTSPARTSMAN and getting some prices im probably going to end up doing this. Although i might have him build me the motor since he has a hell of a lot more experience and all i read is praise from people who have used his services.
Im planning on running a set of carbs off a sport bike something late 90's or newer and 900cc or larger. A buddy of mine has a 2001 zx9 apart in my garage and the carbs on it are a 40mm kehin i think. That and the engine claimed 141hp at 11,000rpm, so something along the lines of that should work perfect.
The harsest part will be saving the pennies.
