    AMT project smashed AE

unfortunatlly for my friend , i had allready done the s2k swap for him, a drunk drove into the back of his car while parked on the road. So the job here is to strip the old and put everything into a new shell.

i have to now strip the other car down and seam weld and install s2k.

what sucks the most about this shell getting scraped is that it was 100% solid rust free and zero accidents.

ouch, he should be thankful he wasn't in the car when the tank hit his corolla! that would be some serious whiplash. looks like it warped the roof enough to smash the windshield?

even if there was rebar it wouldnt have done anything with the impact speed that this was hit at.

It's a shame, all of this could have been prevented had he of had a rebar. Rebars also prevent unwanted pregnancies and freeze melting ice caps.

This is sad, I think I read this on DK "Not all warriors die on the battlefield"... whats with ae86's getting hit?

Yeah...with that kind of damage, I doubt even a rebar would of saved it...it's unfortunate that the loss is because of this one idiot... RIP

of course it wouldt have saved it but might not the damage been less and a few more parts been salvageable?

So much work and effort gone! It's a real shame seeing a Rolla ending up as scrap.

the one thing i noticed about rebar, no matter how much u think. when you modify your car ride height, the bumper is lowered thus the contact point of the car is changed. i noticed a lot how most dent from rolla are rarely on the bumper. its like right underneath the rear lights. So maybe you might want to just scrap the whole point of the rebar unless another low car hit you. So lowered car is going to get hit more damaging then a stock rolla. But then again, you usually take safety out of proportion when you install something that isn't oem specification.
