Do you need to do any upgrades to the main caps? 1200hp bottom end?

    6 bolt already. Doubt it.
I feel like something else will give out before the mains do.

1uz is pretty much just 2 4ages bored out and stuck together. Rods will most likely go? I don't know. Has anyone really pushed one this far before? lol

There's a guy on youtube/australia that has a Ford Capri with twin 62mm 1UZFE setup on E85 that is close to 1000 whp. He was 933whp at 30PSI on E85. But just released a video of him on the dyno running more boost and E98 so I assume near 1000 whp. He's running close to 8 seconds flat.

    He just crashed it though.

Older video (new dyno vid has no numbers)

Yeah Paul's been over 1000whp on a pair of old ass gt35's behind a powerglide. Me making that number in front of a modern 6spd shouldn't be an issue. The stock block, crank, main studs have been proven to 12-1300whp. If I hit 1000whp this'll be probably one of only 5 that I know of. These rods are supposedly rated to 1300hp but my engine builder feels that's an easy number to hit with the quality of them being very good.

at this point the motor is less of a concern than the celica simply rotating around its own rear axle and landing on its roof..

    .. as a guess.
