Just the electronic control box. Not really sure what's in it.
And then?

its all a dogs breakfast
Steve, mk1 supra brake boosters are pretty thin, I do have one, but I still doubt it would fit in that space. Alternatively mk2 Supra boosters have a short diameter but stick out alot further. If you relocated the holes as tight as you could go to the clutch slave you might be able to get it in there, and then get creative with the pedal bracketry on the inside.
So did you push the motor this far back because of the front sway or is this just where you really wanted it? Alot of guys run into the sway bar issues putting motors into the ra6x celicas. A custom made swaybar really isn't that big of a deal, there are shops that will bend one up for you, hollow ones even.
A little bit of both, partially for sway bar clearance, partially for weight balance, and partially for steering rack clearance. Pretty much this is the best placement for it without making compromises in packaging later on. Its already going to be pretty damn tight in there lol
hard to tell in the pictures but the brake booster would have to be 3" in diameter maximum to fit. I might just convert to a boosterless setup as I'll be moving to mx83 front brakes and the 2wd pickup drums out back so i'll have considerably more "brake" and then just need to track down a suitably sized master cylinder to work with after that.

mk3 Supra ones are 1inch btw, I'm running one on my mk2.
Finally got a couple hours to work on the car
Aw11 Manual rack tacked into place, brackets compliments of Cary (1jzra21 on 1stgencelica.com)
if this it looks crooked its just the aspect ratio of the camera, its all straight and level
Start of the firewal, its sunk 3" from stock
Mostly Done, still need to dress the welds and seam seal it all up
Lots of room back there now

if you want to run a brake booster, old austin minis use a remote style booster. maybe something to look into.
project looks good Steve.
thanks for the heads up but i think i should be alright with running just a supra master cylinder and no boost, the larger 1" diameter bore should help compensate some.
Firewall and trans tunnel completed (it looks wavy cause i used a wire wheel to clean the surface rust off it)
passenger side header completed, all 304 stainless and 2.5" v-band (mock up motor) its not too pretty but it'll work for what i need it to do

Also moved the transmission crossmember location and built a whole new crossmember and reinforced the floorpan where it attaches, MUCH happier with this one as the old one had too much leverage against the mounting location and would have torn the floor apart fairly quickly

That turbo fits in there TIGHT, are you going to be drawing air in through a hole in the fender?
I hate Corollas but I don't think I can do better with anything else
had a few hours tonight,
pie-cuts for the tighter radius bends needed in such a cramped engine bay, Bear in mind I have never had any kind of formal welding training i'm a self taught-read-and-practice so i think i'm doing alright

awww come on, you've got to bring this thing to JCCS, its super old school, they'll love it there. I might be able to swing next year but my Supra won't be getting much attention in the next year so 2012 is probably a better idea, lets start planning now
Definitly ceramic coat that ****, ceramic is amazing for how well it insulates. Think of my battery setup, i've had zero heat problems so far and I still havn't gotten around to making that heat shield for the header.
As for your welds they look pretty good but hopefully you can get in there really well to clean up the insides of those pipes. I know so many people who welded up their own hardpipes and then had a piece of slag go through their turbo.
Looking good steve, this thing should keep you out of trouble this winter![]()
