    1982 corolla wagon - lola

    Picked this up in Toronto. Very clean body but had some initial problems with a rusty tank i.e. filling it up at a gas station and it leaking out on the spot, only it wasn't me but my fiance. Suffice to say, she was not happy.

    Got that sorted out and has been running well since with the exception of bouncy front shocks -- coilovers are in the plans though.

    I picked up the wheels (centerline autodrag) from a guy on Z car.com for $375 including shipping, there 7.5" wide by 15". Polished up nicely with some mothers rim polish. I got the tires (continental contipro 155 60 r15) mounted at FCP here in Montreal, they are great.

    other plans:

    -golf mk1 chin spoiler (tribute to one of my other favorite cars)
    -quad light conversion: i have the grill and lights, but am actually feeling the squares lately
    -engine: stock 3tc, probably needs a carb rebuild. How do other carbs do in the winter i.e. weber, motorcycle carbs
    -exhaust

    -would love to get an all black interior
    -current paint is not great, in time go back to original beige perhaps, or something else.

    any opinions on rust protection? I am not going to drive it in the winter, except for one trip or so home during the holidays

    speakers

    I only had the passenger side kick panel when I got the wagon, so I ordered up a black pair from a guy on 3tcgarage. Put in some small infinity reference speakers in the stock locations, sounds much better now! I will eventually need to put in a box for some bass.

    I have the ipod/iphone to radio thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter so its still the stock toyota radio. lol

    My bro picked up a 79 cressida in Hali and stopped in to visit my wagon on his way back to T.O.

    It is pretty mint, just needs wheels and suspension. Here are a few pics.
