Weber 32/36 in and runs great, no more backfiring on start-up. Pics to come.
Also deleted EGR while I was at it. Those egr tubes were really hard to get out because I didn't pull the exhaust header--due to a broken bolt.
Was going to use these 1/2" home depot brass plugs which looked really close to the originals but they didn't work, so I ended up just pounding the ends of the original tubing shut and using the original fittings.
Need to make a few block off plates to really tidy things up.

10-4, my bad. I'll post those up tonight. To make up for that lame text only post; some pics I grabbed off of a video posted on http://beeoneoneoh.wordpress.com/
I asked for info on the engine and apparently he's running a SR20det

Pretty sure this car is also the same colour as mine was originally, unless there is another slightly lighter beige.

Pulled the old carb off and deleted the egr tubes then installed a weber 32 36. I bought some brass fittings which I thought would work as egr port plugs but they were slightly too large, so I just left about 2 inches of metal from the original smog tubes and pounded the ends closed; they don't leak. It was a **tch to get them out since I didn't pull the header.
I took the red wire from the choke on the old carb for the electric choke on the weber 32 36 DGEV, and the black wire on the old carb for the idle shut off on the weber.
I only had one clip come with the carb, so a coat hanger became the other 3 clips.
Need to make a block off plate for the EGR valve by the rad, and buy some caps to clean up some more useless vacuum lines.
Man I gotta wash my engine bay too, I got the simple green degreaser today. That's about it.
Coming weekend I am doing some sound deadening with the peel and seal roof type home depot material, changing the front strut inserts, changing the door and hatch locks so I can lock my car (if the hatch is compatible with a normal cylinder) and working on the ae86 struts which will soon be my coilovers.

My best guess is that considering the drift crowd in Van, sr20 is probably the easiest solution to any car.
BCWORKS
Been thinking about sr20 swaps now, gonna dig into it deeper, for the time being I'll just post some pics
Also been thinking about doing my own fibreglass small bumpers, given a set will run you about 500 bucks
