Cool photo. Are you going to smooth it out or leave the welds showing? I personally like the way it looks right now.

Rear end lowered to proper ride height, I just cut the springs for a quicky lower job, trimmed the fenders and now I can start on the wheel tubs.

My friend started calling it a Vexus...so I think that might stick. But I hate naming cars, although thats more of a brand than a name.

And yes those wheels clear for realz.

i dislike when people change car's names when they swap stuff around and what not. but if i had to choose, it would be Volvus.

"A volvulus is a bowel obstruction in which a loop of bowel has abnormally twisted on itself."

"The vulva is the external genital organs of the female mammal."

Maybe you should go with vexus... lol

Nice custom quarters by the way, they look amazing.

I agree, i also can't stand car names, and project names...the guys at pro-touring.com are obsessed with creating witty car project names.

Vexus is subtle and may be used, but once its done and registered in my name as a 1966 volvo, it will be know as.............. "The Volvo"

Great work on the quarters....all I can say is patience, patience, patience. In fact I thought you would be going back and forth from side to side, as you allow one side to cool while welding and heating the other side. Same with when you start grinding your welds down smooth, the grinder will produce darn near as much heat as the welder did...patience. Or do like Logan says and leave it raw and rough looking (like that guy with the bmw).
