Icon3 Speed Hero: Corolla Community parts collection.

An old concept made new. Myself and the rest of the Speed Hero crew are big fans of older Toyota Corollas. From this love spawned the need for a retention of older Corolla's on the road. The more we keep them on the roads, the longer they will be around to enjoy. Thus the Corolla Parts Exchange was born.

    The Mission:

    Primary:
Keep as many Corollas running and operational on the road.

    Secondary:
To save as many parts from ruined Corollas.

    What:
We are primarily focused on 1969 through 1987 RWD models, and some newer 4WD models. we are also interested in many other older Toyota's such as Celicas, Supras, Coronas, Crowns, Starlets, etc. However, feel free to contact us with any and all older vehicles!

    Who:
Everyone who owns a Corolla is welcome, whether they are an enthusiast or not.

    How:
There is no fee or cost involved in the use of this parts exchange. The exchange itself is optional. We realize there is a wide variety of people using older Corollas. From those who are poor and use them simply for transportation, those who enjoy their long lasting design and reliability, and those who are enthusiasts. In any of these cases these people are all equal as long as their interest is to keep their car on the road, we are willing to help.

We welcome all donations, some people are not comfortable just taking and are welcome to give whatever way they can. Donations of parts, supplies, tools, money, or your time is welcomed with open arms, however, you should never feel obligated to contribute, and only do so when you are able to. There are plenty of ways to help out, ask us how!

    Where:
Currently there is a small stock of parts collected at my residence. Until we get a bigger area this is the primary location of exchange. I and others are willing to meet you if you are in need of a part we have.

    When:
Anytime, I operate from my house so anytime is good to contact me directly for your Corolla related questions.

It's a sweet idea. If you have the resourses, feel free to pick up the beige '74 wagon. It's piled with parts that I am sure someone will find useful. If you need the address give me a PM.

I don't have the resources. I've got possibly enough parts to make it complete again though. Edit: stock slightly updated

    I think I don't quite understand...

Lets say I need a fender. Can I just have one?
These parts are free for anyone? Do I need to exchange the fender with some other part that I have or do I need to have a history of contributing?

Am I missing something or is this actually just the free parts repository that it seems?

Don't need a fender, but definately a good deal and something I want to get in on.

Let me know if any clean quarters come your way and I'll have a pile of stuff to add in the months to come.

    Yeah, I have a coupe.

But the wheel arches and quarter-pockets (and even shock towers) from most any of the other ones (but not the wagons) will do for my purposes.

Please keep an eye out for a windshield for my '83 hardtop. I may be able to add parts in the future as well.

Do it! I've been getting plenty of emails and phone calls. Already exchanged some parts, some leads on cars, and helped a woman fix her corolla and she made a donation. S'all good in the hood!
