    $$---the draggin wagon---$$

86 Cressida wagon. Picked it up for a grand. It's very very clean.

So far I'm just getting it ready for an OOP since it's from Saskatchewan. It didn't need much, just some front end stuff.
The 5m is a leaky nightmare, but I think it will be okay to pass. I'll explain it's coming out anyway.

PartSource wanted $40 each. Found these in PA surplus for $10 each. Hacked the ball and hinge off the old one. I'm pretty proud of these, it's nothing really, but it's cool to do little custom stuff like this.

    Plans:
Air bags, Lay frame. 1uz. Style on everyone year round.

I took the springs out and sat the axle down to see how low I could go. I'll need to notch the rear rails about 4" to get it on the ground. All 4 wheels get tubs too (fronts might just need a hammer).
The air system is going to be scratch built. China ebay for solenoid valves etc, PA for the rest. I'll have to buy front bags and a few other things, but I think I'll be able to do it for about $600. Thank you SAIT pneumatics course

SSR Vienna Dish 9jx18 +35. Fronts will be 8j.

    ? Ya, I'm cool.

Looks good. Duct tape on the hatch shaving the plate? Must have been why you went with this colour. Drift wood side skirts etc covered in duct tape will work great.

Sexy, i like where this is going.

How hard was it make the PA hood struts work? Cause for $10 i like the idea.

Easy. Just chop the old ones appart. I used a grinder to free the ball. Cut the hinge off and tapped a hole for the new strut to thread into. I used the 80lb ones, 15in iirc. Bring an old one to match up.

If you're gonna clean up the hatch gate.. maybe french the plate back in, dead center?

dunno, huge flat pieces of sheet metal with nothing on em never look right to me..

how do airbags work in/with strut assemblies? bag with a hole through the middle?

for the air strut yes, its a hollow bag that basically just replaces the stock spring

Frenching is cool. I was thinking of doing it off to the side like angled 45deg or something. Might look goofy, might look cool.
    I've got a 1UZ chrome badge too.

    Easy.

Those strut air bags are sick! I wanna see how this works out. Might do the same to the TE28.

Post up low rider pics. I want ideas for custom bodywork, paint ideas etc. I still want a JDM/bozo feel though.

(I know it's just going to degrade into people posting pics of cholas, but do it anyway)
