So picked this up.. probably a couple years ago now.. supposed to be an engine hauler for me, yard waste truck for my mom etc..

4 wheel drums, 18RC, rust issues in the body, frame basically solid.. or so it all appeared.

Turns out it was 2 wheel drums.. as the rear drums had a bolt stuffed in the master cyl port.. which was more or less ok, until, coming down a steep hill after a garbage run one day, my front tires got on some leaves.. and with no rears, I slid through a 4 way stop intersection with people sittin in it.. hah, oops.

So, considering the motor ran like ****, took 5 mins to get it started, brakes were hosed, cab mounts (body side) were non-existant, exhaust was also not there, rockers dont exist.. I did the exact opposite of any sane person and started a disc brake swap.

Got stalled while working on other ****, and by the fact I hate working in my driveway.. got the '75 Celica outta the shop a few weeks back, so dragged the '74 Hilux up there..

Hah.. looks like I took these first two pics exactly one year ago today.. as I started the disc brake swap..

Finally at the shop.. motor out, nasty fluids drained..



make life easy.. frame goes outside with the box still on .. cab goes on end..

I could get really used to this workin on trucks thing..



pass side.. mount is semi-ok, floor is ****ed.



drivers, mount, floor and rocker are all toast..

So, (un)fortunately I landed a few days work with a buddy.. so havent been able to get my rockers bent up yet.. lookin forward to getting that done so I can start welding this stuff back together..

Main plan for the truck is 'practical' .. Not looking to scrape around.. its gotta be useful.. and, Im tired of carbs..

So this came along a little while ago for a song.. rebuilt motor a few years ago, runs a-ok now, frame is hosed, box is nasty, cab is good.

So this will donate its 5 speed, motor etc..
