    FT-86 / Scion FR-S/ BR-Z Details Revealed!

    200hp, 151 lb/ft torque, 2662 pounds

    Power/weight:

    HP: 147kw (200ps) / 200hp @7000rpm
    Torque: 205nm (151 lb/ft) @ 6600rpm
    Weight:
2662 ponds (1210kg) for base manual (~ 2580 lbs dry weight)
2706 pounds for higher trim manual

    Chart Translation (PULLED from FT86club.com)
    Columns:
First 2 column are for "small FR sport", column 1 is a higher spec model, column 2 is a lower spec model. 3rd column is Mx5/Miata, 4th is RX8 and last is CRZ. It's a comparison chart.

    Top Section:
The top section is the dimension in mm, length width height wheelbase, ground clearance then number of seats. Next is weight.
Top spec manual is 1230kg, auto is 1250kg.
Low spec manual is 1210kg, auto is 1230kg.
    Then its turning radius.
High spec rides on 17" wheels and low spec on 16.

    Second Section:
This section is engine. Boxer 4 DOHC, 1998cc. Output as listed on 1st post above. Drinks unleaded and 50L fuel tank.

    Fuel consumption:
    13.4 km/l
    31.52 mpg
    50.72 km/g

    Third Section:
This section is front engine/rear drive, transmission type, suspension type, brake then tyre size.

    Last Section:
Last section is equipment which is not that easy to understand. First thing I notice is top spec has LSD for manual and auto while low spec only has LSD on manual. I'll post more if I can read more.

This car is confusing to me.
I dislike the styling, but the numbers seem to check out okay.

such a rice mobile Scion. Bros with white Oakleys are going to LOVE this car.

I was digging the looks for the FT-86 Concept II but the production looks a bit meh.

Numbers are great but visually they toned it down alot.

It looks cool, but it looks like it should have more than 200hp. Are they going after the Kia Forte market share?

The 200hp engine will keep the initial cost down and still move good (like 600lbs less than a gti) but with theIr commitment to saying any of the current Subaru engines will drop in leaves the buyer open to swap in an Sti engine down the road

kia forte is FWD... so no, I think they're aiming more at the current big boys like the 370z/G37, RX8, Genesis, etc...

When did corolla owners get so power hungry? It beats 120hp pretty good, and doesn't weigh that much more

wonder what the pricing would be now... they kept it pretty light for today standards which is nice, stayed true to their word but now is it the cheap affordable rwd that the ae86 was

I like this design the best over all. I'm not digging the changeable accent piece on the top of the fender next to the doors, though. I like the more aggressive front bumper too.

I will test drive for sure... we'll see if it's worth buying then.... From what I've heard, the subi is also RWD which is obviously not going to fit with their image of "The Beauty of All Wheel Drive"

current estimated US base price of $25,000 and by comparing current US/Canada Scion models and pricing we can estimate an approx $23-2500 surcharge here in canada.

And from other leaked info it looks like they'll be offering a non-A/C, unpainted bumpers, steel wheeled version for the tuner community for a reduced price...

only thing we're really waiting on is what brakes, and price

I highly doubt they will sell the steel wheeled version to the North American market. Let alone a model without A/C.

Looks decent, numbers are decent. Want one just to pull all the extra gismos out.
