awesome, looks like a decent piece... let's see how it works out in the end. Not sure if I want to dump 3-times as much on overnight parts from Australia just yet.

Judging based on first picture the casting looks hideous actually, not saying it won't get the job done but on a scale of 1 to 10 with a stock 1uz being a 10 I'd give it a 3 and the a1turbos an 8.

The finish doesnt look great .. but at least, unlike Rhetts ****, the bolt holes are all centered in their tabs and locations etc.. no obvious voids in mating surfaces..

Were you beating the crap outta it I'd throw a scatter shield/blanket on anyways..

for the price - not bad, keep us informed on how well it holds up over the year - I've seen worse - you should see the bellhousing I got for my dodge diesel NV4500 conversion - yuck.

I will keep every one posted and start a build thread soon once I find a w58 not overly priced, and get my 87 4runner resto finished.

unless these units explode into a million pieces everyone who paid for a Australia one is kicking themselves or doesn't care about monies. (or is to embarrassed to admitted it)

the price point and the fact that bell-housings aren't really a highly stressed area sure makes uz swaps hella tempting! thanks for posting and do keep us posted.

Sure as long as the alignment is correct and the trans doesn't end up 1mm off center and eat up clutch discs? I've purchased two from new Zealand and would do it again in a heartbeat. My w58 swap has over 30,000km on a stock oem clutch and has never had a problem. I know a lot of guys who've had alignment issues with adapter plates not be dead center and destroying transmissions, clutchs etc

Now I'm not saying this isnt a good deal, I just chose to spend a few extra dollars for the extra piece of mind knowing I definitely won't have something break or failure due to poor casting or metallurgy

FYI the a1turbos one after currency conversion is $579
