Pretty much every shop that does the swap has told me to just splice the 2 oem shafts together for safety and the fact that it's insanely cost effective.
Mine is not on a 4ag, Im not really getting what your saying, what is the dangerous part? I could see this being a real issue on a long wheel base box truck with a 24 foot drive shaft but not on a corolla of all things.

Corolla one piece drive shafts are pretty long.
It's more of a length to diameter ratio, big trucks have huge diameter shafts that are much longer.
Mine is around 44" and 2.5" diameter, depending on tire size, r&p ratio, and top speed it's either perfectly fine, or borderline too long.
72 corolla, one piece, but taller gearing and not super high top speed, one piece ok
Ae86 Gts, one piece, short gears, higher top speed, pushing the safety barrier

I have tiny tires, short gears, and rev to 8k, on the drag strip at 98mph(fastest I've ever pushed the mango) it had some wicked horrible shakes going on. Perfectly fine till the top of 4th but once in fifth at the top of the rev range, shake snake shake!

Tires are 21" tall, 4.77 gears, 8000rpm .86? Fifth gear ratio?
How many rpms is the shaft at?

Then you get into trouble #1 : if it's that big, it will be heavier than a 2 piece setup and half of that weight is added to the rear unsprung weight instead of 1/4 and some in a 2 piece design... and FYI added unsprung weight is nothing to improve handling...

But then again, a 2 piece aluminium setup would've weighted a couple lbs more, but a lot less would be carried as rear unsprung weight...

Alright, once again, listen to paul guys... lets get back on topic... and yes, my rims are nice

rear unsprung weight? maybe if i had a trophy truck with real suspension travel and airtime, I think were good.
