There's a big update on it's way, but the anticipation of finishing this thing is killing me so I'm posting a quick update.

Rear crossmember is completely done. I've got spacers thanks to Novus Tech (novustech.ca), will be receiving 335mm vented rear discs and 315mm vented front discs tomorrow. Painted my rims up today, just trying to source some rear tires 275/40r17. I'm going to be looking at axles after I get my rear tires and calipers after that. Also once I have the rear tires I can start on the bodywork. I've also begun slowly designing the shift linkage, doesn't look too hard. I'll upload pictures later this weekend.

Our part time guy took Dave's position, so I'm part time until something opens up

No calipers and pads yet... lol. I'm looking at 43mm Passat rear calipers and z32 front calipers (4x38mm), not sure on pads yet, carbotech or hawk most likely.

Check with your Altrom guy in regards to Tacoma front calipers. They're 4 pots, and super cheap!

And way too big for my car lol. I thinking of going with the ls400 calipers (4x40mm) and running dual masters just so I know the brake bias is right.

So after 10 months of welding and hammering and scratching my head as to what to do next, the car has finally landed back on all four corners. One key piece of the puzzle has arrived and that would be new rear tires 275/40r17. I kind of felt the back of the car had to look the part of the v8 so these should do the trick. I plan on starting the bodywork shortly, getting some of it out of the way while I build up funding for brake parts and take care of the little bits inside the engine bay like fuel and coolant lines. Of course, we all know you guys are here for the pictures (and future burnout videos) so here's a sampling:

I spent the last three days in the garage working on shift linkage. Almost everything is mocked up now, mounts for the cables are done, I just need to make a transfer box to move cable action from the front set of cables to the rear. I took a quick video of the shifter action; still needs guides for the top lever, and a cotter pin and lock screw on the bottom so the movement is a little sloppy but you get the idea.

I haven't posted any updates in a while, lots of little things happening here and there. Spent a long weekend renovating the garage, have nearly completed the shift linkage (biggest pain of the swap by far), brake calipers are on their way, as well as a few other bits and pieces. I'm redoing my short list to keep me on track:

*Install fuel lines
-Map a route to the oem tank based on the engine fuel line locations
-Supra TT fuel pump or equivalent required.
*Install coolant lines
-Map a route to the oem underbody pipes based on engine coolant locations
-Reuse misc factory piping where available (cut/flare, etc)
*Rework front cooling pathways
-Move front rad location back and tilt forward
-Cut and weld drop vent in front hood
-wire and mount electric fans
*Install ECU
-Recode immobilizer EPROM
-Flash ecu for 5 speed
-Lengthen wires as necessary
*Install audi gauge cluster
*Install DBW pedal
*Build exhaust
*Misc engine components
-Coolant overflow
-heat shields
-alternator belt
-timing belt

*Install big brakes
-front caliper brackets
-rear caliper brackets

*Cosmetic modifications
-Move taillights out ~3-4 inches
-Glass hatch install
-quarter panels
-widen rear bumper
-widen front bumper
-custom wide fenders/arches
-custom headlights
-repaint entire car
