Come on man do you really have to quote the whole post? Like people won't know what you are talking about when you are the first one to respond?

Haha anyways. Looking for a W58.

Next step will be dropping out the driveline and getting things clean.

Laughed pretty hard at the whole post quoting thing hehe.
Anyway, this thing should boogie pretty good. In the future I always saw myself building a early 80's corolla with a 1uz, except a wagon!
Looking forward to this build brotha

I think it will work best of the options. May need some customization.

Anybody ever taken the fenders off one of these. There is a bolt under the cowl that you have to get to which is impossible without first removing he cowl (it would certainly appear), and the nuts to get the cowl piece off can only be accessed by removing the entire dash. Must have been leave your brain at home day in the engineering department. I may just zip the piece of fender off that the bolt is mounted in. You and the fender would never know it.

Anyways, took the hood off and a bunch of other stuff. The teardown continues. Off to camp tomorrow though.

Okay my bad, what I thought were the butts of studs where the tops of plastic clips that allow the cowl to come out quite easily. Sorry 1970's Toyota engineer. It was i who left my brain at work.

Nice. I wish I had the time to put one in my TE72, as I just finished the one in the 86.

The car has 0 rust on the chassis. Rust areas on the doors though. I don't know what kind of steel te7x doors were made out of. The car has been resprayed. I think the drivers side rear door had been hit. The front and rear ends are mint as are the rockers, rear shock towers and floors. Interior is meh. Going to put my woodgrain momo in it. Some blue aw11 seats would be ideal

No progress until i get out o camp here in Mereworth Sound (northeast of Port Hardy on the mainland). Its a balance to keep the girlfriend happy and spend enough time in the garage while i'm home.

Installed a new light because the previous setup was unacceptable. Bought it at the Re-Store (they sell used building supplies etc.) here in Campbell river for $18. Made a cord for it, hung it up with some chain and now i can work properly.

Picking up an engine hoist tonight and I'll have then engine and trans out tomorrow. Also looking at a small MIG today. If i get that then things can really pick up speed here.

    Before

After, camera really didn't do the change justice.

Engine is out as of noon. Spent the afternoon disassembling and cleaning my MK1 rearend.

My pops found me a trans out of a 91 2wd v6 pickup, so I finally have that going for this project. I will need to go to a lower ratio R&P though I am thinking.

    Needs some meatier sidewalls

    See yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
