JD, sorry I didn't see your PM until now. Replied.

I guess he has been having starting issues even with a new starter and is wondering if the starter gear is engaging the ring gear enough. I think it would make some pretty nasty noise if it wasn't. At least a few times

Is the starter just freewheeling? Spinning up? If not, there is probably a connection issue before the starter. There is a seperate single weatherpack connector for the starter solenoid wire on the left (drivers) side of the bay near the front that i installed the make the engine and harness removably without cutting any wires. I would start with that connection. It was also my anti-theft if i left the car sitting anywhere sketchy.

Wish i could come down to have a look.

    Sorry you're having troubles.

He already got it fixed. I think the flywheel was the issue.

Yeah, Bill @ indy speed got it sorted for me, it was a ring gear issue on the flywheel. Some machining stuff later, and a new ACT clutch to go in it, and its mint.

    Does good skids still too:

true. where ours differ is that massive torque and my lack of any power lol. that feeling when it un locks is terrifying. if i drive too hard or its too low in the revs, it wont lock or will un lock..
also, you gunna update your sig and say theyre all sold/1 junk'd? and add a corolla to there?
