It's supposed to be a crown over the "C". My guess is to signify that the Crown was the highest model, or to celebrate the fact most Toyotas at the time had names that began with "C".

Janked it off the stock steering wheel.

So i have to do a bit more work to adjust pinion angle then i will tighten the links and drop the axle back out to make new rear hardlines. The wheels will stick out a bit further with rotors on so i will definitely have to roll the rear arches.

My flywheel has been machined out, but i have yet to have a chance to fit it. I have a clutch (Sachs 3vz) so i can bolt up the trans now and not have to take that apart again.

Last thing i really need to get sorted is steering, then it will be full assembly mode.

Test fitting the front wheel/tire setup with the lengthened LCAs. Made up the rear brake hardlines too. The 13s fit over the Supra rear brakes fine

i was looking into it, and the rad i had should have been enough to cool the UZ, so im thinking it was just the in/out that was too small and it didnt move the coolant fast enough, so something koyo sized with bigger in/out is what im going with

Couple hiccups. Got around to looking at the trans my dad was kind enough to source for me and it's an R150, not a W56 like i thought it would be. I will hopefully be picking up a trans from Ahn.

Also test fitted the flywheel. Bolt holes barely need to be slotted and it fits great. Problem is the ring gear. Basically the offset of the ring gear from the mounting surface is not ideal on the 3vz flywheel. 10 to 11mm off. Soo my plan is to heat the ring gear and move it back the 5mm it can easliy go, then take 5mm off the flywheel mounting surface. Its very thick so i think this is a safe route.

    Wow, that's way off.

Just to be sure, you didn't leave the flexplate spacer behind the flywheel did you?

No flex plate spacer. This is one thing its hard to find info online about. The ring gear diameter and orientation are perfect but there is this issue. Most just take enough out of the mounting surface and call it a day, but this rhinopac flywheel leaves ring gear mounting surface that i can use and take less off the mounting surface.
