One more word on this:

The rules for this community were created years ago, and for many of you, long before you were even members. DK kicks so much ass compared to other community for two reasons: The people, and the rules.

The rules were established to respect the MAJORITY, not the few who are more vocal than others.

Bending the rules or pushing their limits just to test them is lame and incredibly disrespectful to those that actually put the effort into building this place you call your oldschool home. Devin, you're 30. This is old, and so are you.

To those of you that voted to allow animated gif's, did you actually stop to think about what the board would look like if everyone used one? If you think like a manager, your view changes drastically. I finished fighting over this stuff long ago, and Steve doesn't seem to give a **** so why should I?

But until someone posts a new vote and the majority rules otherwise, let the animated GIF's rule! You reap what you sow! and I love seeing little girls puke! I sure hope you do too!

Migs make a valid point about seeing our board from the position of a manager. There is a danger in allowing animated GIFs as they could potentially tarnish the appearance of our forum. We are certainly not a bunch of tools so why look the part? My vote is neigh.

And someone will probably point it out soon enough, but I have an animated signature, that I've been trying to remove for some time. Can anyone please help me out. It's like beating a dead horse. Lol

I know you are not one in real life so please dont act like a dick and say "steve doesnt give a ****" because I do, but there also has to be a reasonable effort. this community since its inception has been a communal effort at self policing and you decided to be annoyed at devin's drifting cars sig and decided all animated signatures are the devil. we're not children here as you pointed out and we've all tried to maintain a higher level of self control and keeping this forum on-topic with the old school toyota's. devin's signature is a corolla train of LOCAL drivers from this forum, whats wrong with that? now your tongue in cheek sig of the exorcist girl is nothing more than a disgusting retort against me and the others not agree'ing with you.

the one thing I never understood is WHY we don't have an "everything goes" forum section, I mean all sites have it... if someone wants to throw a pic of boobs on that forum, or some girls with nice asses then hey, why not! it's the everything goes forum right? instead some random guy throws a pic of some boobies in the off topic forum and gets banned because one of the mods opened it at home and their kids saw it... at least in the everything goes forum, you know everything goes and you know not to open that forum when your kids are around.

what do you think? vote for an everything goes forum, or let Fidel rule for another 50years? I think we're all big boys around here no? we can manage that.

No, I'm just tired of people putting effort in, and yes that's myself included, then asses going out of their way to slowly push them to the brink of redundancy. Steve, you don't manage, you program and every now and then YOU decide what is and isn't allowed. Funny...sounds like the way I ran things way back before I brought you then others to the fold and then WE made rules in order to establish transparency and understanding for everyone.

I put my gif up to prove a point. GIF's are now allowed, but what kinds? How big? What content? Who will be offended? Who won't? I thought the puking thing was hilarious. Others didn't. So now it's not allowed? But they actually are. PEOPLE VOTED. This is a "democracy" isn't it Steve? No wait...IT ISN'T.

You guys just don't think. I wanted to generate a real conversation and get those noggin's grinding. It's not about the girl puking gif, it's about understanding the overall issue. And the topic isn't JUST GIF'S. Jesus, think outside the box for a change.

Steve, as for removing my mod status, grow up. If you really feel the need to "punish" me, then do what you want, I honestly don't care. The only thing I do with my "mod" status is the house cleaning needed here and there on the board. You thought the issue about GIF's was funny, and considering it's a rule that you signed off on with the rest of us all those years ago, it makes your status as any kind of management figure here on DK kind of ridiculous don't you think? And then I get punished for calling you on it? hahaha and now the dictator abuses his power...

Anyways, I'm gonna get back to my life now. Hopefully some of you actually did a little critical thinking over this issue and I bet some of you even appreciate what I'm trying to say. I'm fighting for people to actually give a **** and think about others. That's how this community works.
