Why not just get a GTS one? Better brakes too! I see them for sale all the time.

I have one from my TE project... The guy I bought the car from said he swapped in an SR5 when the original one died. I have to check the ratio.... It's all there and good...

I'm heading to Van at the end of the month.

No texting from me -- I ditched my life-sucking cell phone.

I'd argue that GTS ones aren't that easy to find, and even when you can find one, they're still like $300 vs an SR5 diff which you could probably pick up for like $30 somewhere since people ditch the SR5 rear ends anyway.

.... and you have to drive pretty hard to fade the drums... and they lock the back wheels the same. For a DD, SR5 is totally, totally adequate.

I haven't really seen anyone selling an SR5 rear, but I know a few places where there are extra GT-S ones, maybe it's an Ontario thing, but all the SR5 ones have probably already been scrapped here.

And here I spent a whole freaking 13 months looking for a GTS rear end before I found mine. Damn dude, hook a brother up!

SR5 is fine. I daily it every day and makes no whines no need to take care of it and locks perfectly, low maintenance. Just no lsd but other then that it works.
