    LS400 or MX73? haha

I probably know the answer but here's the situation, do I A) finish the mx73 + 7mge + w58 project I have under way or B) buy a working good condition LS400 and make it look cool and just drive it / maybe possibly in the future convert it to manual but probably not.

ok, thing is $$ is tight at the moment and I'd like something reliable summer daily that a chick would want to sit in for under $3000.

part of me hates to give up on the OG goodness of the mx73 but I also have to be realistic and I haven't had time to finish it in the last 2 years and this year isn't looking any better. I think it's time to move to something that actually drives.

    So LS400's, what year?

I don't like the 98-2000 facelift, so what year(s) was good between 90-97?

yeah, apparently people are putting in s13 5 spd with ultimate cheapness. Some have even said 370z 6 spd but that wouldn't be cheap

this popped up on kijiji on Fri and bought it for $2k. It needs work inside and paint touch up but I'm pretty happy so far. It's on coilovers with rolled fenders and tinted already so yay.

if its taken him 2yrs to NOT finish a 7M + 5spd, what makes you think a 5spd which requires custom, would be any different? he would be back at square one again. a non driving car and a project left un finished

yeah, i've got to stick to non major mods till I have more time in the evenings... which isn't looking like anytime soon

I'm looking for wheels, preferably 19x9/10 +/- 10 offset front and rear. German or JDM is kinda what i like so far.

    would really like these:
    - Leon Hardiritt Ordens
    - Weds Kranze Bazreia

but probably can only afford these:
    - XXR
    - TSW

    lol

So am selling the ADR wheels that came with it. Now riding on stock rims.

Kinda leaning toward AME Shallen AX or LX now..

So far the lowest quote i've got for shipping a set of wheels shipped to Calgary from Japan is $400 via broker between me and yahoo japan. Anyone know if this is good or not? Thanks

That's fine. Shipping rims across Canada would be like $200. $400 is nothin.
Don't do something stupid like buy wheels that are anything less than 10j lol.

Dev, I'm thinking 19x9 +10 ish front / 19x10 + 10 ish rear. Would ideally like a decent ride quality with rim almost touching fender but that might be unrealistic expectations

Question for people who have shipped rims from Japan. Where did you send them? To you door? To a shop/garage? What customs fees did you get nailed with?
