    i like to go into lordco and just yell into the mufflers they have in stock until i find one that tickles my fancy

    for starters disregard everything you read that wasnt specific to a beams. unlike turbos and inline 6 and even the 4a the beams doesnt sound good. What worked for me on the beams was 2 resonators and a decent sized magnaflow oval muffler.
    daily driven that for a year and still enjoy it. Silent during idle but it sounds great at top end. minimal drone and airflow is great since its all straight through.

    You can keep good flow and reduce noise by increasing the mufflers internal volume I put a single straight through magnaflow with as large a body as I could fit on the 1UZ corolla and I thought it sounded perfect. Maybe a little quiet for some.

    Chris's idea is the best.
