    bolt size for exhaust manifold

Anyone know what the bolt size would be for the exhaust manifold on a 4age and where I can buy them? I'm thinking Canada tire or Home Depot but I just want to confirm b4 I drive there

I highly doubt Crappy Tire or Home Despot will have metric fasteners. You're gonna need to go to a dedicated fastener supplier. Consider the grade too... Exhaust ain't too critical, but I doubt you want cheese grade.

They have metric thread pitch bolts, but it's usually metric coarse thread, not fine pitch such as Toyota uses. There's nothing else that'll work, so please don't take a Crappy Tire rep's advice if they tell you to just stuff something else in its place.

I'd go metric grade 10.9. It's similar to SAE Grade 8. Metric grade 8.8 (which are pretty common) are like a SAE grade 5 and probably a bit too soft and weak... but I'm not sure for sure. Wanna go crazy? Use never-get-stuck Inconel bolts for about $20 per.

You want Grade 5, not grade 8 for exhaust.

Grade 8 have higher tensile strength, but are more brittle. Grade 5 will accommodate thermal expansion of manifold better than grade 8.
