I am new to the forum so I thought I would take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Stephen and I own a Red 1987 Toyota Corolla Sr5. It has the 4ac and an automatic and it's marginally faster than a turtle, but I love it. I have been into Air Cooled VWs for many years and I got this 86 from a friend about 2 years ago. Here is what it looked like when I got it:

So in my quest to convert my sad 4ac to a manual 4age i'm looking for any info I can get on an adapter for a w58 transmission. I have a junkyard 4age from an 1989 FWD GTS, and a W58 from Craigslist. And now i'm looking for an affordable way to adapt that transmission.

Anyway, glad to join and i'll try to keep you posted on the progress.

Sick tercel wagon! Funny enough I put e30 rims on my mom's 95 tercel.

Thanks! The rims were a Craigslist special, like $160 with new nexen tires, and the fit great! I just needed to get some hub centric rings and the ride quality was dramatically improved over the stock 13” steel wheels.

yeah they were much wider than stock. Rode like on rails around corners.
