A little bit of DK history

Well here are the pics from the June 2003 meet at Charlesglen Toyota.... and the cruise out to Ghost Dam...



This is My TE21. Just had a fresh spray bomb of Tremclad flat black. I also ugraded the front brakes to 81 brakes. Installed a reground cam, weber down draught, and a custom-ish exhaust. It has the 2 speed Toyoglide transmission and is currently sitting behind my house rusting more.

I was the first one there... waiting for Chris to show up. Took some pics of his car (the now infamous...)

The old 'Migso Dorifto' hood... lol


Then this guy showed up. Sorry I don't remember your name, if you are still on here. He did some really nice etching...

Then a really clean TE72, I'm sorry, I forgot your name. Last I heard, IIRC, this car got smashed a little or something. I hope you are doing what you can to fix 'er up!

Mr. Rob Ruigrok showed up with the first of his 2 race cars.

1981 Celica with a 2TG.

Some pics of PaulCorolla's TE27... so young and so stock...

I think I even tried to buy it from him, he said no.

Then this show car MK3 Supra showed up. All the way from BC somewhere...

This car was just featured in a magazine and props to him for driving it from BC and on the cruise!

Then some pics of my Boss at the times' car. MK2 Supra with 7M-GE swap.

He was followed by Mr. Reg Reimer himself in his MK2 Supra with a 7M-GTE swap...

Same color and everything... lol

Mr. Peter Hill showed with his Rally Car. I remember him telling me that he thought that the roll cage was the only thing holding his car together... lol

Then Greg (JDMAE86) and his posse showed up. They rolled in hard and all together... it was awesome. LOL


I am sure Paul (Boost/Piggity) remembers this engine... lol

My first 86!!
That car is dead. I traded it to Darcy for my other red hatch that Special K has now.
Darcy crashed it in a week and my dad bought it off him for $200...now the parts are living in his half finished Super 7 replica. So it's kind of still around...in spirit.

I meet Migs parked outside Panago where he used to deliver pizza with Mark.

edit: Ha!! I still have thoes AREs that are on Migs car. 15x7 goodness...3 of them though. Paul Booze killed one. I might get it fixed some day.

i met Alan Chan at 7-11 in richmond in 99 and met Keishin a month or two after that. Alan literally jumped out of his car to run up and ask me a bunck of questions about my car. I was driving a red AE92 at the time, but was quickly convinced that the 86 was a much more fun car. I was never on the board really but there were a few of us that would hang out regularly. Man, i can't even remember the names of some of the guys... it was too long ago. I remeber the cars though!

it's nice to read about all this. kinda clears up some of the confusion for me.
